I walk by this house all the time, and I just love it. It is the weirdest house.

The blue, the grey, the brown, the purple – those are all the same house.

The purple shed in the back is a painter's studio. Sometimes, when I'm lucky and when the weather's nice, she'll have the big doors open, and I can peek into the studio.

Check out the front gate. Nice gate, right?

It is actually the headboard and footboard of a bed! The person who lives here is very creative, and very good at reusing things.

I like trees a lot. This is one of my favourite neighbourhood trees.

It is a very large tree. Actually, if you look closely underneath, you can see that it is many trees, close together. But someone has trimmed it nicely, so it looks like one tree.

I like big trees because it always make me think about how long the tree has been there. This tree has been here a long time, probably since before I was born. What has this tree seen over it's life? Trees are also interesting, because they say something about the people who look after them. To get these trees to grow so they look like one round tree, many people have taken good care of this tree, and trimmed it a lot.

I always smile when I walk by this tree.

This is a little pug who lives in my neighbourhood. He has the sweetest ride.

He looks very tough, but he is very nice. Don't worry, the machine gun is pretend.

His owner made the sidecar for the bicycle out of an old baby buggy!

This is the patio outside of one of my favourite coffee shops (JJ Bean). You can see that nobody is sitting on the patio. They are all on the other side of the sidewalk, in a new type of city park for Vancouver. (The park is at Main and 14th.)

This park is really neat, because it fits into 3 or 4 parking spaces. Now there is less parking, but that is okay because I like to walk to the coffee shop.

It is really nice to sit in the sun in this new park and eat a zucchini-walnut-chocolate muffin from the coffee shop. They are my favourite!

Sometimes on a walk, I see this car. Its owner must live near me.

I do not know a lot about cars, but I like this car because it is a DeLorean. DeLoreans are cool because they are stainless steel, and because they have gullwing doors. This is what gullwing doors look like:

Another car that has gullwing doors is the only car that was designed and manufactured in Canada - the Bricklin. While the Bricklin has very cool doors, it was not a very good car, so they stopped making them. This is the Bricklin:

Another reason that I like DeLoreans is because this was the car in Back to the Future. Have you seen this movie? It's a good one. The DeLorean is a time machine!

There are 3 movies, and they are all a bit silly. But I love them, because they are movies from my childhood.

Hello! Welcome to Mount Pleasant! This is my neighbourhood where I live. I go on lots of walks, and I like to take pictures of the interesting things that I see. I am excited to share some of these pictures with you. Mount Pleasant is a neighbourhood in Vancouver that has lots of different houses and apartments. It has lots of parks and shops. You will always see something new when you go for a walk here!
